We completed specialist roof refurbishment and waterproofing works to this Castle, delivering long-term protection across the restaurant, turret and reception roof areas. The project required a considered approach due to the varying roof constructions and architectural features, with both the Polyroof Protec and Polyroof Elite systems selected to provide the most appropriate solution for each area.
Extensive preparation works were undertaken, including high-pressure cleaning and localised repairs to ensure a sound substrate before the application of reinforced liquid waterproofing systems. The restaurant and turret roofs were treated using the Polyroof Protec system, incorporating a fully reinforced waterproofing membrane designed to provide exceptional durability and weather resistance. The reception roof was completed using the Polyroof Elite system, with additional reinforcement applied to the ribbed metal roof details to create a seamless waterproof finish.
The completed works have significantly enhanced the long-term performance of the roof coverings while preserving the character of this distinctive property, providing a robust waterproofing solution that will minimise future maintenance requirements.
