We carried out the refurbishment and waterproofing of the communal rear terrace to a residential development in Hampstead, using the Kemperol 2K PUR liquid waterproofing system.
The existing asphalt waterproofing had deteriorated in several locations and required extensive localised repairs before the new waterproofing system could be applied. Following thorough preparation and high-pressure cleaning, new timber kerbs were installed to define the landscaped flower bed areas before the reinforced Kemperol system was applied.
The seamless liquid membrane was fully reinforced with polyester fleece before receiving an anti-slip traffic coating incorporating pigmented quartz aggregate, creating a highly durable finish suitable for regular pedestrian use. A final protective sealer completed the installation, providing long-term resistance to weathering and wear.
The completed scheme has transformed the communal space, delivering an attractive, hard-wearing surface that combines excellent waterproofing performance with enhanced safety and durability for residents.
