Triquetra Construction Group has successfully completed a comprehensive common parts refurbishment project in South Kensington, London, delivered on programme and within budget.
The project involved the complete renewal and enhancement of the communal areas, beginning with the strip-out of existing finishes and electrical installations. Within the basement common areas, damp-proofing measures were undertaken to address moisture ingress and provide greater long-term protection to the building fabric.
A new electrical installation was completed throughout, including upgraded emergency lighting, alongside an extensive programme of fire door remediation. Existing doors were repaired and upgraded where appropriate, with new doors installed where replacement was required.
Careful repairs were also undertaken to existing plasterwork and decorative cornices, helping to retain the character and detailing of the property. This was followed by full preparation and redecoration of walls, ceilings, doors, windows and associated joinery, creating a consistent and high-quality finish throughout the communal spaces.
Following repairs and preparation to the existing floors, new carpets were installed throughout to complete the refurbishment. The combination of essential remedial works, fire safety improvements and carefully considered finishes has transformed the common areas, creating a refreshed and welcoming environment while improving the overall condition and performance of the building.
