We delivered a complete warm roof refurbishment beneath a rooftop football pitch at a leisure centre, providing a high-performance waterproofing system capable of supporting a new 3G sports surface.
The existing roof covering was stripped back to the concrete deck before a new insulated warm roof system was installed. The new roof build-up included a self-adhesive vapour control layer, high-performance insulation, mechanically fixed structural plywood, a carrier membrane and the Polyroof Protec liquid waterproofing system, reinforced throughout to provide a seamless, fully bonded waterproof membrane.
New perimeter detailing, termination bars and lead flashings were installed to ensure a watertight finish across all upstands and interfaces. Once our works were complete, the new artificial football pitch was installed by a specialist contractor.
The project has delivered a durable roofing solution that combines excellent waterproofing performance with improved thermal efficiency, providing a robust platform capable of withstanding the demands of a heavily used recreational facility.
